Can I See the Joy during Difficult Times?
My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect , so that you may be and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4)
James wastes no time in hitting us where we live - in the midst of outside circumstances which put us to a test of faith. There is no doubt that we face trials, but at issue is, how do we accept these trials? And what character may be formed in us by our response?
Guide me, Lord, during difficult times and guide my belief that you, in your wisdom, will give me comfort and support. With your guidance, please help me find JOY, joy in knowing that you are with me and will guide me through difficult times. A GREAT BIG AMEN!
