We look for ways to participate in our community
That there may be no dissension within the body, but the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together with it; if one member is honored, all rejoice together with it.Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.
I Corinthians 12:25-27
We believe deeply in Jesus’ call to follow him and to engage with the community around us in meaningful ways. This happens through partnership and outreach programs with area organizations, community events, shared fellowship with nearby churches, and by offering ourselves and our services to the wider community.
St Luke’s Outreach and Engagement Committee provides leadership, money and goods. We work with nearby organizations. We donate to local food banks, shelters and humane societies,
We move forward with fresh hope, eager desire, and gratitude, exploring ways to have faithful, open-hearted conversations with others about God’s love, faith (and doubt), and the journey of life. Our goals? To build a spirit of prayerful and caring listening, and encourage wise, Spirit-led solutions with people across our region. These aspirations lie at the heart of our emerging vision and sense of mission and ministry in North Idaho.
St. Luke’s building is used extensively for Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Women’s Narcotics Anonymous, Men’s Narcotics Anonymous, and Young People of Alcoholics Anonymous. Their meetings are open to anyone.
