Details on Presiding Bishop's Visit to Diocese of Spokane

The Presiding Bishop will visit the Diocese of Spokane April 29 - May 1. Below is important information for his visit.

4:15-5:10p - Diocesan Choir Rehearsal (for Evensong) in the Sanctuary
5:30pm - Evensong with Presiding Bishop Michael Curry
Saturday9:00am - 12:00pm - Morning Prayer, plenary and Workshops on Evangelism and Discipleship with Dr. Lisa Kimball and Rev. Dr. Patricia Lyons
12:00pm - 1:30pm - Lunch Break (on your own - parents please pick up your children at noon for the lunch break)
12:15pm - 1:00pm - Diocesan Choir Rehearsal for Sunday (during convention lunch break) in Sanctuary
1:30pm - 4:30pm - Plenary and Workshops with Dr. Lisa Kimball and Rev. Dr. Patricia Lyons

Additional Notes about the Bishop's visit:
- If you are attending the workshops on Saturday, please email Mallory Davis at malloryd@spokanediocese.org, so she can get an accurate count for who is attending.
- Vaccinations – We are asking that guests are vaccinated. If you feel more comfortable in a mask, please bring one.
- Workshops – Find out about our wonderful guests and the exciting workshops we are providing on Saturday. Info can be found on the Presiding Bishop’s Visit page of our website.
- Restaurants – Snacks will be provided for the workshops. There will be a lunch break for the workshops on Saturday. Guests will be free to explore food options in Spokane, a list of walkable and nearby drive-able options are on the Presiding Bishop’s Visit page of our website.
- What to Bring – Please bring your own thermoses or water bottles to save on. There will be water See t-shirts below.
- Worship Offerings – Friday Evensong’s offering will be given to Episcopal Relief and Development for Relief to Ukraine refugee relief, loose offering of checks should be made out to Diocese of Spokane. Sunday’s offering will be made to Camp Cross.
- T-shirts – You are invited to wear your diocesan t-shirt, or your Camp Cross, t-shirt, to worship on Sunday. (Sunday is also Camp day!) We will be handing out purple diocesan t-shirts prior to our workshops on Saturday.
- Photos & Autographs – We are asking that you refrain from asking the Presiding Bishop for individual selfie photos or autographs. We will have a fun Cardboard Cutout Curry for all your fun selfie needs.
- Livestream – A livestream of the Evensong worship, Saturday keynote and Sunday Holy Eucharist will be broadcast on the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist’s Youtube page. Please invite those who cannot make it in person to come.
